Feeling for a Fietsa?

Angola takes over the fair Cape once again. This weekend you can catch Irregular events as well as Lau Productions bringing their angolan fever to Cape Town. With both promising to bring CT to its knees, should be interesting to see who maintains.

First up, this Friday @ 10pm Irregular Events promises a rather eclectic mix of latin and carribean beats, oh and not forgetting the good ole old school. It claims to be a true carnavale with actual carnaval dancers amping the crowd.

This carnavale takes place at the swanky club Zar in Green Point. I personally love themed events it's like a home away from home.

Next in line:
If you missed out the Friday or still buzzing from the brazillian beats be sure to catch Dj Lau Productions @ The Concept the next day Saturday 3rd March @10pm.

The gre3nlight team has promoted Dj Lau events before with positive reviews and believe this time will be no different. Catch the regulars like dj Waspa, dj Lau and Guest Dj Bruno Ag.
Although Zona 5 has a similar concept to BODA in terms of music selection it surely is different to Friday's gig. Different people, different vibe, different scene and still super fun.

Tips for 2012 ....

The key part of a New Year is the word 'NEW' which of course means change. It's been said time and time again, if you want different results you have do things differently.

The gre3nlight is not trained life coaches or therapist but we're real people with real experiences giving you real and honest tips for the New Year. Check it out.

TIP ONE
If you're experiencing a life crisis or emotional turmoil REFRAIN from telling facebook. Facebook does not have the answers people!

TIP TWO
If you know you not the type to stick to routines, well then, don't set one up for yourself. You only end up disappointing yourself which is certainly not healthy for your self-esteem. Instead learn to work around your personality. Life has many roads to take, find yours.

TIP THREE
A relationship does not need to be facebook official. Too many humiliating experiences have occurred where you'll find a couple facebook official and so in love only to find their relationship status back to single (and desperate) in a month.

TIP FOUR
Stop being lazy. Let’s just be honest here. If you've been complaining about not getting things done, uh news flash! That’s all your fault. If you not making any effort to do it it'll never been done. 1+1 = 2 not 11

TIP FIVE
Value your time AND OTHERS. Coming late to a meeting or a social gathering is in bad taste. Why should others make time in their day to see you and you can't even keep time? We all have better things to do not just you.

TIP SIX
Have a plan for crying out loud. A goal. Something to aspire to. It doesn’t have to be as big as changing careers or losing weight. It can be as simple as having meaningful friendships.

TIP SEVEN
Don't be a jack-of-all-trades but instead learn to master just one thing. Plus, it sounds a lot better to say you are a master of something, doesn't it?

TIP EIGHT
Want to be healthy? Learn to be happy. simple.
Lots of people (me too) believe to be happy you have to look a certain way. "If I just lose the weight I'll be happy and confident", blah blah. Here's a fact, have you noticed people who have "ideal body shapes" are not less insecure? They complain about the way they look, they get jealous, and they get cheated on too. Clearly, weight is not the beginning and end of you.

TIP NINE
STOP THE HATING. Listen, I'm not a fan of miss nicki minaj in fact she irritates me, however, I salute her and respect what she’s doing. You don't have to like something to appreciate it and give it its due. Don't degrade others by talking badly of them. Who died and made you perfect? Religious or not love and respect others just the way you like to be loved and respected.

TIP TEN
Love yourself unconditionally. Don't mistake this statement for being vain. Loving yourself is valuing every part of your being body and mind. Don't look at others for inspiration, inside of you is where the real deal lies.

TIP ELEVEN
Just do it. Whatever "it" may be for you, before you talk yourself down and out of "it", just try at least.

TIP TWELVE
Don't forget! Action proceeds motivation and not the other way around. Motivation won't fall from the sky. Motivation only comes from action.
